    Police say 33-year-old Dalton Dion Hopkins died at the hospital after he was found shot in the 2300 block of Julia Avenue just before 11 p.m. Police responded to an assault call at the location near Statesville Avenue where they found Hopkins suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The bullet hit both of the Hopkins' legs.
