    The Knicks acquired Quincy Acy and Travis Outlaw from the Kings this summer, in exchange for Wayne Ellington and Jeremy tyler, along with getting restrictions removed on a second round pick already in Sacramento's possession. "One of our goals was to find ways to balance the roster out from a position standpoint a little better and then also to provide us depth across all positions," GM Steve Mills said on a conference call at the time, via the New York Daily News .
