Kerdiles : looked good, but was getting smashed all night. he took some hard hits and had to go to the dressing room a couple times.He made a pretty pass to set up Karlsson for the first goal, and he got a secondary touch on the Ritchie goal as well.

Sam Fuld and Brandon Moss hit solo home runs, Jon Lester combined with three relievers on a seven-hitter and the Oakland Athletics beat the Seattle Mariners 4-0 on Sunday afternoon. Oakland won consecutive games for the first time in three weeks and more importantly stretched its lead in the AL wild card race.

Chargers Hand Seahawks First Loss 30-21

Antonio Gates had three touchdown catches and the San Diego Chargers controlled the tempo to keep Seattle's offense off the field and upset the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks 30-21 Sunday. Gates' 21-yard catch late in the third quarter was epic, as the star tight end split two defenders and extended for Philip Rivers' pass, reaching out with his left hand to gather it in.

Jed Lowrie drew a bases-loaded walk with two outs in the 10th inning to force in the tiebreaking run and lift the Oakland Athletics to a 3-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Saturday night. Mariners reliever Fernando Rodney came on in the 10th and walked Coco Crisp to open the inning.
