Tonight's Movie: The Girl From Jones Beach
This has been a weekend for "girl" movie titles, starting with WISE GIRL Friday evening and continuing with THE RICHEST GIRL IN THE WORLD last night.
Tonight's Movie: The West Point Story
THE WEST POINT STORY is a pleasant version of "Let's put on a show!" at the venerable military institution, with a great cast including James Cagney, Virginia Mayo, Doris Day, Gordon MacRae, and Gene Nelson.
Seven years after making "Ball of Fire," with Barbara Stanwyck and Gary Cooper, director Howard Hawks revisited the same material in a musical, with Danny Kaye and Virginia Mayo.
