When a band goes on tour they typically have a new album to support, that is of course unless they have an old classic album to support.

On They Might Be Giants' latest kid-friendly endeavor, Here Comes Science , brainy bandmates John Flansburgh and John Linnell delve deeper into the grade-school curriculum they've been rocking out to since 2002.

They sum up a Detroit crowd pretty nicely, play St. Andrews, and snap a few pictures.

As the title implies, the album is numerically minded, from the breezy "Zeroes" to the jaunty "Nine Bowls of Soup" to the raucous "Eight Hundred and Thirteen Mile Car Trip." As always, TMBG juggles musical genres as it presents its silly ditties, with styles ranging from bossa nova to electronica to rock.

They Might Be Giants came to First Avenue last night to perform their 1990 album Flood from start to finish.
