The Go-Go's returned to Wolf Trap's Filene Center, barely ducking a stormy weather event but with a derecho still brewing amongst its members.

There is awesome. And then there is the really AWESOME FEST. This summer Philadelphia will stage a ten-week citywide film and music festival celebrating the 1980's and there is something for everyone.

With a bit of a melodic atmospheric introduction, the Furs took the stage quickly and got right to the introspective yet impassioned "Highwire Days," from Mirror Moves .

This album marked the Psychedelic Furs on the way out as far as I was concerned.

Philadelphia's The Awesome Fest , running June 14-August 17, 2013, has announced its full events lineup, celebrating the 1980's, which will include over 50 events, featuring 30 outdoor movies, special guests, anniversary screenings, an '80s style prom and popular musicians from the decade.

Fans probably know that the New Wave sextet reunited for some aughties touring, bringing the " Pretty in Pink " gang back together again after their 1990 split.

Folk powerhouses Joan Baez and Indigo Girls share the Filene Center stage in an evening of heartfelt tunes and earnest lyrics.
