THE Hotels & Leisure Division of Goadsby has reported the sale of East Cliff Cottage Hotel, Bournemouth, formerly the home of Hollywood actor Stewart Granger and owned by his mother, Mrs Lablanche Stewart, until 1979.

A great song from Johnny Horton, and the theme song to the movie "North to Alaska," filmed back in 1960 and starring John Wayne, Stewart Granger and, one of my personal media heroes, Ernie Kovacs.

The Monitor's Thursday A&E section highlighted Green Fire, a documentary about the environmentalist Aldo Leopold that will be shown at Red River Theatres.
