Sigrid Thornton has revealed that her acting days are "done". The 52-year-old Australian actress, who is best known for her roles in Sea Change , Underbelly and The Man from Snowy River , said that the industry is tough for women when they reach a certain age.

THE Opera House is set for its first dose of the ''Sigrid factor''. Tomorrow, one of the nation's most beloved actors will make her debut at the iconic building in the Opera Australia production of A Little Night Music .

AFTER 25 years in the industry, Doris Younane knows what it takes to turn aspiring performers into working actors and she's hoping to find some untapped talent in the south-west. Trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Art , Younane has worked alongside Australian acting greats including Geoffrey Rush, Rebecca Gibney and Sigrid Thornton.
