Mike Doughty, the former frontman of Soul Coughing, left the indie band to pursue a career as a solo artist.

Rubberneck is celebrating the release of their third issue with OBN III's, Video and Wiccans at one of the last shows at Emo's Dec.

Mike Doughty's 2011 was not bad, not bad at all. The veteran singer/songwriter saw his latest collection of hypnotic, wistful, sometimes absurd acoustic-based missives, "Yes And Also Yes," land the single "Na Na Nothing" quality time on the radio this summer, goosing the considerable booty-shaking at his recently-wrapped fall tour.

You may remember the band Soul Coughing from the 90s; they had hits like "Super Bon Bon" and "Circles." Lead singer, Mike Doughty left the band in 2000 and has released 5 albums since.

With his off-kilter sense of humor and tendency to venture into realms of experimental rock and jazz, Mike Doughty is likely to have a few tricks up his sleeve when he takes the stage Friday at noon ET for a performance from World Cafe Live in Philadelphia.
