The Meagan Good mystery series has had the plugged pulled, according to sources noting that the show performed poorly in a key demographic.

According to TVGuide.com , the dramatic series started off with nearly 6 million viewers, but as the episodes progressed the ratings dropped to an average of 3.5 million views.

"Mother and baby are happy and healthy," said a rep. No other details about the birth-including the weight and name of the new child were available.

According to Deadline , in the midst of choosing which pilots to order to the 2013-2014 season, the network has chosen not to renew DECEPTION , starring Megan Good, for a second season.

As it continues to piece together its fall broadcast schedule, NBC on Wednesday closed the books on one of its freshman dramas.

Days ahead of the start of the major network upfronts, NBC has made a bit more room in their 2013-2014 line-up by deciding not to renew their freshman soap Deception for a second season.
