IT'S been an amazing summer for St Helens band Naymedici, who have been performing at some of the UK's biggest and best festivals.

After watching news coverage of the famine which is ravaging 10 million people in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and the newly-formed Republic of South Sudan, gig promoters Thomas Bagnall, David Littlefair and music writer Linsey Teggert wanted to help.

After the success of their first three albums, the sharply dressed Newcastle outfit Maximo Park presumably expected offers to roll in for their services.
