Coinciding with the release of locally filmed "Noble Things," the movie soundtrack pairing Southeast Texas songwriters with country artists will be available for download on the Internet Friday.

Mark Chesnutt really likes Rio Grande Valley audiences. "Aw, they're wild, man," said the country western singer who will perform today at Wink's Saloon Grill and Rodeo, 10700 FM 1421.

There has been a change in plans for the Tri-County Fair concert lineup. Due to illness, Mark Chesnutt, who was scheduled to perform Friday, has backed out of the engagement.

The Stanislaus County Fair celebrates the environment this year with the theme "Renewable Fun." In addition to the usual carnival rides and livestock exhibits, there will be displays on eco-friendly living and recycling.
