Bach Choir's gala concert features famed soprano and lutenist
Saturday brings a don't-miss event for early-music lovers. Soprano Emma Kirkby, a renowned early-music specialist, will perform at Central Moravian Church in Bethlehem with Swedish lutenist Jakob Lindberg for the Bach Choir of Bethlehem's Gala Concert.

The 16th century English composer Thomas Morley wrote that song ''should draw the hearer as if by chains of gold to the consideration of the heavenly.'' If it's the crystalline voice of English soprano Dame Emma Kirkby pulling those chains, a heavenly destination is guaranteed.
