Gone with the Wind Premiers in Atlanta, Georgia

Theatrical pre-release poster. David O. Selznick demanded that Vivien Leigh be given higher billing, so in later posters, her name was billed right below Clark Gable's. Gone with the Wind is a 1939 American film, a historical epic and romance - drama adapted from Margaret Mitchell 's Pulitzer-winning 1936 novel of the same name .
