Grammy Award nominations include several musicians with Kalamazoo ties

Opera singer and Loy Norrix High School graduate Meredith Arwady's name shows up under the nominations for Best Opera Recording for "Doctor Atomic." Arwady made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera in the opera in 2008 playing Pasqualita, the maid of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb.
