Twelve releases down the road after its founding in 1998, the Moll-Selekta label continues to mine the depths of Jamaican roots reggae.

Little Roy has released of a new single, Lithium, through Ark Recordings. The single is lifted from his recent album with Prince Fatty and Mutant Hi-Fi, Battle For Seattle, a collection of 10 songs recorded by Nirvana covered by the legendary Little Roy in a reggae style.

Little Roy has announced details of the release of a new single. Lithium will be released through Ark Recordings on Monday December 5th 2011.

With its roots in Clement "Sir Coxsone" Dodd's Downbeat soundsystem, Studio One was unrivalled in Jamaica as the engine room for the emergent sound of reggae .

It's a fine line that separates homage from imitation. Extra Classic's Your Light Like White Lightning, Your Light Like a Laser Beam was recorded analog with vintage '70s equipment, the overarching goal being to create an album that sounds like it was laid down in Lee Perry's Black Ark Studios.
