Another great new two-parter on "Masterpiece Contemporary" is "Place of Execution," a parallel mystery not so far removed from "Cold Case" . It features Juliet Stevenson as a TV journalist looking into a notorious case about a 13 year old who vanished in a town in northern England.

In one way, "Place of Execution," which premieres Sunday on PBS' "Masterpiece Contemporary," is a typical "cozy" mystery.

In 1963, a 13-year-old girl vanished without a trace. More than 40 years later, questions surrounding her disappearance and the hunt for the killer resurface when high-profile TV journalist Catherine Heathcote begins to unravel the mystery.
