Sandy Hackett says his late father, Buddy, once turned down a chance to be Frank Sinatra's opening act in Las Vegas.

The legendary Buddy Hackett arrived in comedy heaven in 2003, but he's coming back to work at Las Vegas' Sahara Hotel - where he held court and entertained audiences for decades - when his son makes his debut in the Congo Room as Joey Bishop in "Sandy Hackett's Rat Pack Show," set to open just ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

"Laugh-In" poet and flower child Henry Gibson, who more recently appeared as Judge Clark Brown on "Boston Legal" and was the voice of newspaperman Bob Jenkins on "King of the Hill," died Monday of cancer, Variety reports.
