THE MAIN REASON THIS IS BEING DONE :is to counteract the EXCESSIVE attention paid to the Jolie-Pitts at Cannes last year. That scares Kershishian/Huvane. This is the PR dept.s way of counteracting instead of making his client look bad. John Mayer is doing her favour, plus he’s having a laugh, there is NOTHING serious here. This is a 100% fauxmance, but I am sure they are friendly about it’s terms of acting. They both know publicity is financially CENTRAL to their careers and bad publicity means the end. Huvane knows an act makes waves just as much as a reality…. I wish her the best…..but it’s obvious this isn’t the real thing. Too fast. To manufactured. Too posed. As soon as Cannes is over, Mayer will be gone and they will leave on ambiguously, unemotionally connected, yet friendly-acquaintance type terms. Jen has made a career out of this type of public romantic performance……her PR team are not unconscious of that fact…..on the contrary, they are using it to control public perception of her career.

Jennifer does not need more publicity Reason. She gets a cold and she is published. For someone to think that everything stars do is for publicity, especially their love life is pathetic and stupid. Maybe for rising starlets who are hardly published. Jennifer needs her PR to shield and protect her from publicity. She is one of the most publicised persons in showbiz so far even when she does not do any movie. It does not take intelligence. Jen making a career out of publicity is a funny allegation. In fact, it is Jolie, who has been in showbiz for so long and now is riding high with publicity because she got into Jennifer's life by stealing her man. That is a publicity hungry person!!!!

i tend to agree with you. jen needs the boosted exposure (to publicise her new movie) a 'romance' will have everyone buzzing about her. God, they've only been 'dating' for a few months, and the goss. rags already have her proposing to him!
it's a very convenient publicity stunt for the 'poor deserted jen'.(she's had about 6 INTENSE romances since she split with brad....oh, yeah!, very intense, is this one - NOT!. yep, as soon as there is no need for him, john will be gone...back to mediocrity. just you wait and see!

i disagree...(big surprise lol)...she has no need for such stunts, her movies have been moved to a later release date, so why all the fuzz now? its a normal relationship, so if they do break up you all will say "see?i´ve told you so!" LOL couples get together and break up, not only in Hollywood.
6 romances? Vince, Paul and John are three, not 6. the other men were linked to her by the press, nothing more.
