been watching this show for many years as did my mother and others her age that helped keep it on the air by purchasing the products advertized. since it was going off the air, why did you have to throw the Gay story line in? who are you trying to impress? BON Voy-age!

There is 5 days left and can you believe it, Tennis is whats on when it should be Guiding Light. Man if anyone has a brain at CBS they can see this as a bad joke on all of us GL fans.
I want every minute left of GL. This usually has been the problem with the ratings of any popular show on CBS. I hate those interuptions!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the memories. I have been a fan and watching since I was 12 years old. I am now 44. I wish the cast the best in their future endeavers. If I knew of a way to save the show, I would! I used to tape it and then with satellite, I can tune in when I come home from work.
Did anyone ever think of making it a night time soap?

I am sure I speak for a lot of people when I say "thanks for the memories"

I've watched since 1978 (I was 8 years old) and Friday will be like a death in the family ... I've decided to have a memorial at my grill - a sort of last Bauer BBQ ... boy did P&G mess this one up!

I grew up with Josh and Reva. We're about the same age. My mother and grandmother watched. It's so sad to see ANYTHING that has lasted since the depression go away. Some say "it's just a soap", but it's part of your life, your history. Some of the actors have passed away since I started watching and it's like losing part of you own family. They gave me an hour long escape from my own problems sometimes. GL and it's actors made history and they should be very proud.

no guiding light ended up not being like other soaps. It involved real people, and the real struggles that we encounter everyday. I think that is why i feel such an intimacy with the cast. I really feel like i am losing a whole chunk of my family. I grew up watching soap operas, but only held on to guiding light. i have no desire or intention of turning on any other soap, just 1 more hour that my t.v. will be on c.n.n. know they aren't going to take that off the air, and even if they do, there are other new channels. c.b.s. did nothing to promote guiding light. they said the show had been on life support, and they just left the show on the table to die.so i am just kind of hoping cbs dies, i know it won't but i can still hope, and i refuse to give them any of my business

I will really miss Guiding Light. I grew up watching with my mother. My mother is now gone, but I still felt like she was watching the show with me everyday.

I have watched The Guiding Light since I was in grade school(I am now 65 years old) the show was only on for 15 minutes each day. I would run 2 blocks from school to my house during lunch just to see this show. I am really saddened that is going off the air. I don't know the reason behind this but I sure wish you could keep the show on. My My what am i going to do every day from 3:00P.M. to 4:00P.M. I would rather not see As The World Turns. Well I'm sure there is a whole lot of people saddened by this .

I have watched GL for many, many years......

I cannot believe that CBS is turning off the lights on GL.......

I'm sad, depressed and angry at CBS for doing this......

I'm hoping that another network will pick up GL......

CBS doesn't understand that life will NOT be the same without getting to watch GL.......

I don't understand how CBS can put another doctor's show on in the place of GL......

I remember, as a young girl, I would hurry home from school to watch the episodes of Guiding Light. After all these years I still have enjoyed the trials and tribulations of the show. I am now 57, and YES, I will dearly miss my Guiding Light episodes!!!

I've watched GL since the mid sixties, back when it featured the Bauers, Ed/Mike/Leslie triangle, Sarah Mcintire being "gaslighted" by Lee Grant?, Holly, Roger. The focus has been away from the Bauers for some time, and the show is not anything like it used to be. I'm not surprised it got the ax.

"Sad" CBS is replacing it with Lets Make a Deal. Maybe some markets are putting the talk show, "The Doctors" in that slot.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Aries

Financial muddles are more than likely today so be careful if you're going shopping. You might be accidentally short-changed or there could be a misunderstanding about how much something costs. This isn't a good day to lend friends anything valuable in case they don't return it or they damage it in some way. Better safe than sorry.
