Youthquake 2009 brings big numbers to Cullman
The threat of rain did not stop more than 7,500 people from showing up for the seventh annual Youthquake at the Cullman County Fairgrounds Saturday afternoon.
Skillet, Hawk Nelson, Decyfer Down and The Letter Black at Salem Civic Center
Now for a few notes on the openers: The night's first band, The Letter Black , was pretty cliche-ridden. Fortunately, it only played about 15 minutes of nu-metal meets pop-punk. Decyfer Down , led by singer TJ Harris, laid down a half-hour of ponderous, serious, revelation metal.
Hawk Nelson's 'Live Life Loud' will be a classic
Society's morals have changed drastically in this generation. Most music heard daily is set to a 'worldly' view.
Linn County Fair attendance was a little below average this year, while the financial success of the event remains undetermined.
