Styx musician follows a different path to success
In the song "Beautiful Boy ," the late John Lennon wrote "Life is just what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." The sentiment could apply to the life of Lawrence Gowan, singer and keyboardist for the band Styx.
Styx, Gowan still successfully sailing away
Some musicians struggle their entire lives to establish successful careers, but Styx singer Lawrence Gowan has managed to create two during his lifetime.
It's about fricking time. Lawrence Gowan is being inducted into the Scarborough Walk Of Fame, and will get a permanent star on it in a ceremony to be held May 12.
Gowan is celebrating the 25th anniversary of his hit album, Strange Animal, with the repackaged re-release Return of the Strange Animal, now in stores.
