Toronto likes to think it's the centre of Canada, but when it comes to metal, Hogtown doesn't hold a candle to the cryptic winds ushering out of Montreal.

Dutch death-metal band God Dethroned was formed in 1991 by vocalist Henri Sattler with several friends ; they recorded a demo and got the opportunity to release an album on the small German label Shark in 1992.

Sleepwalker of Beyond the Dark Horizon recently spoke with GOD DETHRONED 's newest member, guitarist Susan Gerl , about the making of the group's latest album, "Passiondale" , being a woman in extreme metal and spending the rest of the year touring the world.
