The Heavy 10: Counting Down to Seek and Destroy, Day 1

As many are starting to hear through the grapevine, I'm producing and hosting a new metal specialty show for KEXP called "Seek and Destroy." It launches on Halloween night and will thereafter air every Saturday from midnight till 2 a.m. Needless to say, I'm thrilled this long-brewing project has gotten the green light.

Greg the Egg is the host of Air Guitar on CFUR, the radio station at UNBC. Greg The Egg may be a shy, working guy with a wife and kids but he's also the enthusiastic host of the heavy-metal program Air Guitar, one of the longest-running shows on CFUR, UNBC's community radio station.

Girlschool, Rock Goddess, Lauren Harris Confirmed For U.K.'s Hard Rock Hell

GIRLSCHOOL , LAUREN HARRIS , ROCK GODDESS and HYDROGYN have been confirmed for this year's Hard Rock Hell festival, set to take place December 4-5, 2009 at Pontins in Prestatyn Sands.

Motorhead announce The Damned as special guests
