Ben Kweller tries to revamp past work in 'Go Fly a Kite'
From the very first sound of the album - a gutsy guitar chord packed with an extra dose of angsty twang - it's clear that Ben Kweller's latest, Go Fly A Kite , is going to be decidedly rock 'n' roll.

You could call this trio a side project, and you would be factually correct. Carbon Poppies features Jonny Campos and Peter DeHart of Brass Bed and Allison Bohl of T-Kette. However, the term "side project" has a negative connotation as if the band doesn't matter as much as the bigger bands these men and woman play in.
As a teenager, Kweller fronted the Texas-based, alternative rock band Radish. Hailed as the next Nirvana, Radish became entangled in a major label bidding war before ultimately signing to Mercury Records and releasing the commercially disappointing Prior to the release of Radish's second album, tentatively titled Discount Fireworks, the band broke ...
