Thirty Central Michigan University students have returned from Louisville with memories of the stars and a bit of job experience as well.

You couldn't help but catch the Hollywood bug at Louisville's Festival of Film this weekend.

The first surprise is Doris Roberts' voice. It is deep and husky, more Greta Garbo than Lucy of "I Love Lucy." Which is to say, Roberts, 77, sounds nothing like the high-pitched, nagging mother, Marie Barone, she played on the popular TV show "Everybody Loves Raymond" for almost a decade.

A famous actress made a stop in the Valley to offer some wisdom to women. Doris Roberts was the celebrity guest at the Packard Music Hall in Warren on Wednesday.

You might recognize names like Charlize Rheron, Doris Roberts, and Kim Basinger.

Five-time Emmy winner Doris Roberts will receive a lifetime achievement award at Louisville's International Festival of Film on Oct.

Doris, who received four Emmys for her comedic turn as Marie Barone during the nine year run of "Everybody Loves Raymond" and another Emmy for her dramatic portrayal of a homeless woman in "St. Elsewhere," has appeared in countless movies and television shows and is a 30-year veteran of Broadway.
