While reports began to spawn across the Internet this week that Deftones bassist Chi Cheng was beginning to emerge from his long coma, a website devoted to his recovery sought to remind fans he still has a long way to go.

Bedridden Deftones bassist Chi Cheng is responding to doctors and can now lift his leg on request - more than three years after falling into a coma.

The opening track of the upcoming solo album by Myele Manzanza is called Drum Intro.

Bassist Chi Cheng of the Deftones was involved in a high-speed car accident in Santa Barbara in November 2008.

The Deftones are an alternative metal band from Sacramento that was founded in 1988.
