THE MOVIE: At the end of Waiting for Guffman , Christopher Guest's Corky St. Clair returns to New York from the Missouri burg where his dreams of a life in the Legitimate Theatre were dashed on the small-town rocks and opens up his own memorabilia store.
The hard rockers were trailed on a tour of America in support of the album Smell the Glove by filmmaker Marti DiBergi, who documented their internal friction, cancelled gigs, record company squabbles, problems keeping drummers from spontaneously combusting and occasional geographical difficulties.
