Fischer's 'They Died Before 40' profiles such musicians as pianist Fats Waller, drummer Chick Webb, bassist Jimmy Blanton and trumpeter Bunny Berrigan New York Jazz Museum founder Howard Fischer is completing a documentary, "They Died Before 40," about jazz greats who died young.

"The King of the Savoy" reigned supreme over jazz drummers in New York in the 1930's. He was the consummate showman and with his fluid and rhythmic style, was perfectly suited for the swing era.

The Rosedale Hotel in Millsboro, which people of color patronized in the pre-integration decades, was sold to landowners at Gull Point in the 1970s.
