FOUR FACES WEST is a relatively unsung gem of a Western which deserves to find a wider audience.
Four Oscar nominations, including best picture, went to this poignant 1939 adaptation of John Steinbeck's saga of George and his lumbering, mentally impaired friend Lennie , who share a dream of owning their own spread while working a ranch owned by a sadistic man with a flirtatious wife.
