Bobby Driscoll was one of Hollywood 's first bankable young actors. He provided the voice and visual inspiration for Disney 's 1953 animated film Peter Pan , but his awkward teenage years tarnished his golden-boy image - and, unable to recapture his youthful glory, he died an anonymous, drug-addled death at age 31.
