Best known as the long time front man for the Bare Naked Ladies, Steven Page has embarked on a new creative journey with his solo career.

The city will welcome Olympic Gold Medalist Adam van Koeverden, nine gold medal winning chefs from across Canada and two entertainers with a golden touch: Ed Robertson of the Barenaked Ladies and Barney Bentall.

The conversion is complete: Gone is the Hampton Inn and in it's place rises the Bud Light Hotel.

Olympic champion Jamie Sal is joining the growing list of Canadian athletes and entertainers at this year's Grand Finale of the Gold Medal Plates.

Meridian Street's Hampton Inn was bustling Saturday. Located in the thick of pre-Super Bowl activity at 105 S. Meridian St., guests were in and out, checking out the sights.

Toronto's Kevin Hearn may be best known for being one of the Barenaked Ladies but with his second solo outing he delivers a wide range of subtle and appealing songs far removed from the Ladies' somewhat goofy, radio-ready pop rock.
