The plot finds Abbie Cornish of Bright Star playing Wally, a modern-day New Yorker obsessed with the Duke and Duchess of Windsor -- aka King Edward VIII, who abdicated the British Throne in 1936 so he could marry American double divorcee Wallis Simpson -- on the eve of the couple's 1998 Sotheby's auction in Manhattan.
