History Channel docudrama ignores some big names

The History Channel suffered from some criticism a few years ago, being nicknamed "the Hitler Channel" because it seemed to focus on World War II history more than anything else. As of late, it's done better, but occasionally it goes back to its bread and butter, and that is the case with "The World Wars," a docudrama that covers several of the key figures that were first blooded in World War I and went on to determine the outcome of World War II.

On this day 40 years ago, President Gerald Ford pardoned former President Richard Nixon for any crimes he may have committed while in office. If you're not familiar with Watergate, Nixon had been investigated and was facing impeachment proceedings for allegedly spying on various political opponents -- then trying to cover it up -- during his re-election campaign.

Alamo museum structure to close for repairs
