Xbox One and Xbox 360 racing game Forza Horizon 2 launches on 3rd October alongside eight free downloadable cars, Microsoft has announced. Meanwhile, Microsoft announced details of the Forza Horizon 2 VIP membership, which costs A 15.99, or A 7.99 for Forza Motorsport 5 VIP members.

Halo Reach now available for free through Games With Gold

For the first two weeks in September Xbox 360 owners were able to download Monaco: What's Yours is Mine as part of Games With Gold, but this has now been replaced with Halo Reach for the remainder of the month. Bungie's fifth and final Halo game put players in control of Noble Six, a member of an elite squad of soldiers tasked with protecting the human world Reach from attack by the Covenant.

Amazon Cites Xbox One Console Inventory Issue

A few days ago on September 11th I wrote a blog post with evidence showing it was likely a large percentage of the current shipment of Xbox Ones in the retail channel had "coil whine" noise hardware defects. Tonight members on NeoGaf noticed Amazon put the Kinect-less Xbox One on "Item Under Review..something wrong with our inventory" notice.

The project, an adaptation of Swedish series Real Humans , was announced in April as a co-production between Channel 4 and Xbox Entertainment Studios, in what was the first greenlighted scripted series for the entertainment arm of Microsoft's XBox .
