After his trouncing in 2000 to become the White House Alpha Male he placed his hands on his manly hips and looked aorund for a new gig. He considered the Anti-gun shtick by was warned off by Sarah Brady. THAT was HER cash cow and she wasn't about to have some has been interloper crowd HER turf. So he thought about the lecture circuit but Bill had that particular field covered and told Al to back off. Then he figured he might as well go back to Tennessee and be a Senator again. But alas,his ex-handlers told him if the people there wouldn't want him as President they sure as he77 didn't want him back as a Senator,it was hard enough getting rid of him in the first place when he accepted the Veep slot,so that was out. Then he had a brilliant idea. No one was doing ANYTHING about Global Warning,except for a bunch of loose knit kooks. That would be HIS cash cow and HIS alone. So he jumped in his private jet and flew ALL over the planet,talking about dead Polar Bears and stuff. He made a movie about them too(a real tear jerker-from a real jerk)that won Al an Oscar. Now that his wheels were in motion it was time to cash in-but HOW? Ah yes,it finally came to him. He would sell "Carbon Credits" to companies so they could pollute the air and water. Of course these carbon credits didn't DO anything,but it made it LOOK as if the enviromental folks were making companies toe the line. How brilliant of Al,AND it is a money maker for sure. The companies still get to pollute,Al gets rich(er) selling his do nothing(but feel good) carbon credits,and his enviro-army feels good about saving the planet.... And they all lived happily ever after.
