The poll I read showed Obama's approval rating at 46%. I think he has gotten there faster than any of the modern presidents.

Well, if we include THE NEXT TWO SENTENCES from the gallup report it certainly changes things:

But all presidents except John Kennedy dropped below the majority approval level at some point in their presidencies, and all recovered after the first time below this mark to go back above 50% approval."
