1 Did you know that money sent to Mexico from worker here, makes up Mexico's 3rd largest source of revenue. Only behind oil and tourism. Viva Barry Obama! He will ensure that these illegals stay happy. |

4 Or, fight back and more get murdered. Ya I know, tough choice huh?! Not really. We have been making the same mistakes for decades, why do we allow our government to do the same thing over and over and over again with no progress, and in fact have we made no progress, we are back peddling. Legalize all drugs, tax them, make billions, save billions, economy back on track, new industry with hemp, America is leader of worlds #1 cash crop, etc. |

1 No worries there dude. Chill. Barry is an addict too and he will not do anything to stop his next fix. Legalize street drugs and million more will die from drug overdoses and bad stuff. Far too many people are dieing every day right now from legal drugs. What makes anyone thing by legalizing them fewer people will die? Did ya catch the latest on the flue vaccine. It has killed several hundred people, is totally ineffective against the flue and yet the government is still telling people to get their shot. Over the past few years look at the number of legal drugs that have been recalled due to their adverse side effects. Like they have been killing people? |

1 Obama even talked about ending the war on drugs a few years ago. He's flip-flopping. I voted for the guy. I think he's better than McCain. I hope he at LEAST upholds his promise to order the DEA not to go after medical marijuana in states that allow it. He's gotten more and more disappointing. Rahm Emmanuel. Continuing the war on drugs. This shows that what we need is a viable third party candidate. Because they did an experiment. It's called Holland. And LESS people die from harder drugs than before. In fact less Dutch people use any drug including the one they legalized, marijuana than they did before it was illegal. The only way prohibition effects the usuage rate of a drug is by improving its notoriety and giving it the allure of the forbidden which makes it especially attractive to young people. Back in the late 19th century the people who did drugs like cocaine and heroin typically started in their 30s. It was only after they became illegal that the median age of use fell into the teens. I think we can all agree its better if adults are doing drugs than if children are. As far as legal drugs go at least people know what they are getting for the most part. When you drink alcohol at least you know it's not mixed with other chemicals in order to save the "dealer" money. Same with tobacco. As for pharmaceuticals, the problem is the stranglehold these people have over our government. That way they can market an ineffective product and/or leave out all the problems it can cause. They've also used their money to suppress medical marijuana. Someone needs to do a documentary against the war on drugs. Look at Michael Moore's documentary supporting universal health care and the impact that has had. That will probably be one of the top items on Congress' agenda this year. One thing that needs to be highlighted are the children and other innocent people KILLED in this war in botched raids. When people realize the war on drugs is killing our children, not saving them they will turn against it. Look at the website below. Is it worth sacrificing innocent lives in an ineffective attempt to save other people from their own choices? http://blogs.salon.com/0002762/stories/2003/0... |

1 I am giving you a cyber handshake. Well put. I lived in Amsterdam for 6 months about 4 years ago and did a 30-something page paper on "The Socio-Economic Impact of Dutch Drug Policy Versus U.S. Drug Policy." You are absolutely correct with what you say. It's the same with sex over there. No wonder why they don't have a teen pregnancy problem; the Red Light District is set in the midst of various schools, homes and -- get this -- Oude Kerk (Old Church). Kids walk past the windows daily and because it's not considered "forbidden" is exactly the reason it's not such an "allure." |

1 I hope you're being facetious. Can you seriously imagine having legal meth, coke, PCP, etc.? I'm all in favor for decriminalizing weed, but to legalize any street drug is reckless, irresponsible and ridiculous. |
