Al-Sadr in trouble, Iraq headed for meltdown

What if it's simply a civil war?

This is Sadr's Mehdi Militia turning on itself.
Those that refuse tha cease fire have been recruited by the Iranian backed "special forces" Sadr is Iran's man in Iraq. Iran wants Sadr has their boy until they fill the void once the US leaves. Iran wants total control which Sadr somewhat resists which is why Iran is funding the specials. Trying to keep Sadr in line British forces were in control in Basra up until a few month ago. They have pulled back to the airport waiting to leave. This is just a preview of what may happen if US forces are removed. On the bright side both Democratic candidate's have left themselves a loophole in their platforms that would allow them to keep troops in Iraq. |

india went thru civil war after Brittish occupation... Iraq will too. There is NO way US military can make it a stable, safe place. We can't do that to Camden NJ.
bush got us into this with lies and bad judgement... and keeps there with more of the same. Wake up America! |
UUUMMMMMM.....Yeah Okay and Iran wants a piece of that action. |

We have been paying the cleric and other sheiks who control militias money not to shoot at our troops and bomb them. We have been paying something like one point seven million monthly to the cleric alone. Now with the increase of private security firms we broke the deals and ceased paying many of them.
I've been telling people on here this since last year and people argused that 'twas false. Now this week it came out on CNN at least twice. More was on PBS this week also. We just don't want to see the damage that this GW regine has done to us for fear of what it all means. But we must man up and see it now or we won't have much of a future. At least not a future we recognize. |

Can't, can't, can't. You people just hate success...or at least American success. |

Al-Sadr is Shiite, and so is the majority in the Iraqi government - including those in charge of this operation. It is between Iran's puppet, Al-Sadr, and the Shiites that don't want to be Iran's puppet. If you call that a civil war, which side do you support? |

If firemen are fighting a large building fire and they realize it's a lost cause, they get out and contain it the best they can from a distance. It's stupid to die for pride of victory. Why are we there? There were no terrorists before bush invaded and destroyed Iraq. Wanna know why the terrorists hate us? Because we invade their lands... been doing it since the Texas and Oklahoma oil ran out. It's not our oil! But too many pig heads in the USA think they have the right to get it. Imagine is we had spend all that time and money on alternative sources and conservation. We wouldn't need a drop of foreign oil, no huge debt, and all those lives would still be with their families. |
I support this side...this side of the Atlantic for our troops. |

Duhhh. |
I don't think it's as simple as that. The only thing these Middle Eastern countries have to offer any country is oil. If other countries did not invested in the technologies or resources to get the oil and no one bought the oil what would they have to offer the world......America I believe only gets about 5%-7% of our oil from the middle east, we get a large amount from Canada and South America. They have for lack of a better term been killing each other for thousands of years, we can't stop that anymore than we can stop the sun from coming up in the morning, they still would not have any peace with their families whether we were there or not.....The only difference in us being there is we are putting our troops in harms way of the inevitable....They will need to "duke" it out amongst themselves, then they will sell their oil to the rest of the world when things settle down, since it's all they have....... |

The downfall of America started way before Bush. |
