Michael Dugher, whose constituency of Barnsley East covers Wombwell, Hoyland, Grimethorpe and Darfield, claims Labour's Compulsory Jobs Guarantee would ease the situation, if introduced by this Government.

At the start of 'Love Your Local Market' fortnight, running from May 15 to 29, Mr Dugher, who represents Barnsley East, said he is a regular user of markets and wants to see them continue in the future.

A trio of warehouse workers have been jailed for stealing 100, 000 worth of stock from their workplace which police said resembled "an Aladdins's cave." The three men all pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol, televisions and other items from the WM Morrisons Warehouse at Cortonwood between November 2009 and August 2011.
