A prolific burglar has been sentenced to 39 months in prison for a series of robberies.

David Potter, of Welwyn Garden City, was arrested by police in June after he committed 32 burglaries across Borehamwood, Barnet, Welwyn Garden City and Potters Bar.

Hertfordshire County Council, which subsidises bus routes in Borehamwood, Elstree and Potters Bar, is proposing to withdraw funding to routes across the county that run after 6.30pm and on Sundays.
