Neath Port Talbot is proposing to shut Cwrt Sart, Glan Afan and Sandfields comprehensives, along with Traethmelyn Primary School, replacing them with a new super-school for children aged 3-16. This would be built on part of the Western Avenue playing fields in Sandfields at a cost of around 40 million.
