Local charities benefit from fundraising gig at Hopeville
Following a successful and well attended charity night fundraiser held in the Hopeville Social Club in June, local band Four Way Street managed to raise 1500 in aid of local charities and help groups. The band Calum Trail, Nom Gillanders, Davy Hannah, Jim Allan and Roy Calder, wishing to keep the money raised local, the band decided to make donations to Fly Cup Catering and the Harlaw Centre, each receiving the sum of A 650, and a further A 200 was donated to the Inverurie Community Music Festival.
CLAN receive boost from Inverurie firm
Gemma Powell, CLAN Area Service co-ordinator and supporters Alan Eileen and Mary, receive the cheque from Angela, Amy and Gemma of Johnston Carmichael The Inverurie branch of Scottish accountancy and business advisory firm, Johnston Carmichael has raised over 1600 for local charity CLAN. As part of their fundraising initiative staff at Johnston Carmichael held a series of events for CLAN Cancer Support, including a "Deal or No Deal" night at Kintore Village Hall.

Inverurie Hospital has received a very positive report following an inspection by the HEI carried out in July this year. In a report issued on Tuesday , the hospital which provides services to Inverurie, Kemnay, Oldmeldrum, Alford, Haddo, Ellon and Fyvie, was praised for making "good progress against the NHS QIS standards to protect patients, staff and visitors from risks of acquiring a HAI .
