High winds force crossing closure
The tunnels are usually used by Essex-bound vehicles but the Highways Agency closed the east tunnel to northbound traffic at 04:00 GMT with all vehicles directed into the west tunnel.
VOTE: Calls for Midhurst to be put back on the map
Calls for another rethink on road signs to Midhurst from the A3 following the opening of the Hindhead Tunnel have been made after Highways Agency proposals were branded inadequate.
Gridlock as power cuts close Hindhead tunnel
UP electricity supplies at the A3 Hindhead tunnel will be investigated after power cuts caused traffic delays of up to three hours on Thursday night.
