Former Radio 1 DJ Mike Smith dies
Former Radio 1 presenter Mike Smith, best known for hosting the station's breakfast show in the 1980s, has died aged 59. Smith's filming company Flying TV confirmed that he passed away in hospital on Friday after suffering complications from major heart surgery.
