If you think comic book characters do amazing things in comic books, you won't believe what they can do off the page.

Each episode in the series had an 18-minute story for a Superman adventure; and they also had a four minute episode about young Clark Kent from his adoption by the Kents culminating in his debut as Superman called The Superman Family Album.

Rupprecht was 4 years old living on Howard Street in Pittsfield when he became enamored with the comic book character-come-to-life and the actor who portrayed him.

George Reeves portrayed the Man of Steel from 1952 to 1958 on "The Adventures of Superman." He was a Hollywood icon, TV and movie star who served in the military during World War II and got his start in "Gone With the Wind." But most people remember George Reeves as TV's Superman .
