After a few seasons crippled by the TV writers' strike a few years back, this year felt particularly refreshing - some strong new premieres and returning favorites at the top of their games.

Bear Grylls seems like a charming enough fellow. With that snazzy accent of his it is tempting to lend his show "Man vs Wild" a bit more credibility than it deserves.
