Mayor Announces Two Job Options For Laid Off Tulsa Police Officers

Just go and work for another department, you would think a police officer could easily find another job since there's police departments all over the country.

I am still not sure why this is news?? There are thousands of people laid off in Tulsa. Nobody cares if these cops find jobs!! Why not spend this time on helping a family that is homeless get a job. Come on newson6 there has to be some real news to cover instead of this!!

The MAYOR has found them jobs....The MAYOR !
And now get this. They are not sure that they should take them because they may not have the benefits that they need.

You dont have to hit the streets looking for a job, try and get unemployment and I mean try and get. And now you have to think about it.

Found them jobs... you wanna be a cop in Tulsa? I do not, it is hazardoud duty. We have major problems here, especially the meth problem. You want a job ? I am sure you can get on in that area. Other than that, don't expect one,, the City, under Susan Savage, and again under Queen Taylor have awarded almost every city job to outside the state contractors. ALMOST EVERY ONE. So if you wanna bitch about NO WORK, talk to the Mayor of the city of Tulsa. ASK about how many city of Tulsa jobs are done with the Mayor Taylor campaign. You can not bitch if you do now know who to bitch to.

And watch, they hire contractors who will work for $8-$10 an hour mexicans. And they will. I don't have a problem that they are mexicans but they will hire them over Tulsans,, go check it out,, look at the new forensics lab..

I have to tell you that they laid off these employees and then turned right around and offered them jobs within the city. If the city was so strapped for cash, why would they be offering them jobs elsewhere in the city? Yes there are many laid off in Tulsa & they are not offered jobs as they are laid off. Queen Taylor is trying to look the hero now by saying that she found them jobs. If the city is so strapped for cash that these people can not be police officers because we can't afford them, then why are they being offered jobs within the city? This just is a fish tail and all of the people are falling for this devious game the mayor is playing. Same on all you who have bought this tall story and continue to believe the tall tale. Since you all believe it, you deserve the lying government that you are getting!!!

The greedy FOP union only wants what it wants, and isnt going to negotiate with the city because it feels its superior to all the other city departments.
