Never have a surprise birthday, never have anyone jump out at you, never turn a corner and see something unexpected? The new hit thriller of the year "SCARED TO DEATH" coming soon to a theater near you!!! Seriously, what about when she starts driving?

Not nearly as bad as the bios of George W. Bush and his master, Dick Cheney.

So much stuff she'll miss out on.

She can't ride a rollercoaster.

She can't participate in sports (too much chance of a surprise, I'd think).

Interesting. I wonder if there is a way to condition her to not respond to sudden changes that might be startling.... It seems it would take an exhaustive amount of concentration to always be expecting the unexpected so to speak. So many unexpected things happen in everyday life I can't imagine how you would keep someone from them.

This doesn't make sense. Sounds like typical media breathless hyperbole.

JFK had it?? He was a PT boat commander during WWII who had his boat shot out from under him.

No stress or fear factor there...?!!

After re-reading this article I wasn’t totally comfortable with it and something didn’t ring true. It was the label “polyglandular addison’s disease”. Since there can be an association between the autoimmune polyglandular syndrome and addison’s disease I couldn’t see the direct association. Plus the symptoms didn’t appear to be directly related to polyglandular. So, after a brief check I am posting this web site to help make at least some since of it all.

One thing that didn't make much sense to me is, if she has such a strong reaction to certain parts of movies that it could cause her death, why would you even let her those movies. I mean what if you got distracted and forgot to say don't look. The one condition I did recognize in the article in your link was celiac's disease. Many of our customers are afflicted with this , an intolerance to wheat gluten. Many have described severe reactions when they eat any foods with wheat or any products that contain gluten ( found mostly in wheat but not only). Maybe she needs a change of diet. There are supplements that give adrenal support also. Good link for this story.

Gotta feel for those people. I was a little skeptical about the JFK reference. But I found a very interesting article at http://www.jfklibrary.org/Historical+Resource... .(Makes my little aches seem so trivial...)
