Chicago would've been 'shorter trip' to Olympics for local athletes
After a trip to Beijing for the 2008 Olympics and a planned trip to London for the 2012 games, pole vaulter Jenn Stuczynski had hoped the next Olympic competition would be closer to home.

The Fredonia Olympic Celebration Committee will be dedicating a flag pole and monument in honor of Jenn Stuczynski, Fredonia's pole vaulting Olympic silver medalist on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. next to the information booth in the Barker Common, downtown Fredonia.
